OUR STORY
The American Embassy Recreation Association (AERA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the morale, welfare, and recreation needs of U.S. Government employees and their family members serving at the U.S. Embassy in Dar es Salaam.
Our mission is simple: to provide a welcoming environment that fosters community, connection, and well-being.
At the heart of AERA is the American Club, a vibrant hub where members can relax, recharge, and connect. We operate dining facilities that bring people together over good food, and we maintain recreational amenities including a spacious swimming pool as well as tennis, volleyball, and basketball courts.
Beyond facilities, we offer a variety of services to make life at post more enjoyable and convenient, from everyday resources for members to memorable social events that bring the wider embassy community together.
